Every dentist and orthodontist can use Plussmile.
Basically, knowledge of orthodontics and aligner technology is required, of course.
However, we also offer training to get started and also for experienced users of other brands such as Invisalign, Spark, ClearCorrect, Angel Align etc.
Sure. Most treatments are done in permanent dentures. But we also offer PLussmile for children and adolescents.
Yes, we also offer treatments in mixed dentition. We recommend intermediate scans here so that adjustments can be made even if there is primary tooth loss or growth.
We offer distalization with TADs, which are even simulated in the virtual setup, and advancement wings for mandibular positioning. This is mainly used during growth. Dr. Baxmann’s Teardrop Hoooks are also used for distalization.
In the case of minor deviations, mandibular distalization is possible with TADs, which are even simulated in the virtual setup. Dr. Baxmann’s Teardrop Hooks are also used for distalization. Dr. Baxmann’s Teardrop Hooks can also be planned for the connection of a Delaire mask. However, in this case, a GNE with Delaire mask as pretreatment is useful.
No problem. TADs and mini-implants can even be simulated in the virtual setup at Plussmile. By the way, we recommend Dr. Baxmann’s L.O.A.D. and L.O.V.A. .
Absolutely. Best done together with TADs and Dr. Baxmann’s Teardrop Hooks incorporated into the aligners.
We don’t promise anything that doesn’t really work. Pure dentoalveolar expansion in the range of about 3mm is certainly possible. Skeletal expansion should be pretreated with GNE or MARPE.
Torque is generally difficult to achieve sufficiently in Aligner treatment. But we are fully aware of this problem and have simple solutions. We can use buccal, palatal and lingual attachments and also pressure points, negative attachments and powerridges. But there is one more thing: We can combine the all! So, as you can see, no magic, no secret sauce, just plain and simple biomechanics.
The cases are planned by specially trained and experienced dentists and approved by experienced orthodontists on a four-eyes principle.
For quality assurance reasons, this is not yet possible, but we are currently working on a suitable concept to implement this soon.
We use the attachments that offer the best performance according to current studies: the classic cuboid attachments. However, these can also be used palatally and lingually. There are also negative attachments, pressure points and power ridge attachments. It is even possible to use buccal and palatal attachments simultaneously, e.g. for optimized torque and rotation control!
We have the option of using lingual or palatal attachments. If attachments are needed in the front due to the respective movement, we will plan them. Doing without attachments only for cosmetic reasons leads to unpredictable treatments and unnecessarily poor results. That is why we refuse to do so. We stand for quality and good results.
Yes, this is possible. From a treatment that lasts longer than 1 year, we automatically request a midcourse scan to avoid unnecessary refinements.
Due to our attachment concept, our planning by doctors and the rejection of unrealistic planning, we can be proud of the fact that we need only few refinements. However, it does happen for a variety of reasons. That is why a refinement is always included in the price.
GreenTech is a special patented ClearX material that enables the latest 4d technology. It has a memory effect, similar to the superelastic NiTi arches of fixed therapy. This allows multiple movement steps to be programmed into a single aligner, triggered sequentially by a simple booster at home by the patient. This saves material, appointments and plastic waste due to aligners that are otherwise often produced unnecessarily.
